Medimpex Jamaica Ltd. donated a 24000 BTU air condition unit for the COVID-ward nursing station at Spanish Town Hospital, on Thursday November 5th 2020. The event was celebrated at the Queen Sofia Conference Room, in this same hospital. This air conditioning unit will optimize the working conditions for the staff and will also have the added benefit of helping to preserve the hospital resources.
Dr. Wright James (SMO – Spanish Town Hospital) and Mr. Dwayne Francis (CEO – Spanish Town Hospital), along with the Deputy Director of Nursing Service at Spanish Town Hospital (Nurse Candice Thompson) remarked the importance of this donation as this will benefit the working conditions of the nursing staff in the COVID ward, which is prepared and currently taking care of COVID cases in Jamaica.
On the other side, Mr. Lukasz Kowalczyk (Managing Director – Medimpex) and Mr. Sergio González López (PR & Project Manager – Medimpex) highlighted how all our front line health workers are dealing with this pandemic and the big effort MoH and SERHA is doing in fighting against COVID. Both of them mentioned how our societies and the economy, not only locally but globally, have been affected by the current health situation, and how, in a little effort to change this, Medimpex Jamaica Ltd. will continue helping the Health Authorities of Jamaica through such contributions, apart from continuing delivering the best healthcare products island wide.
With this new contribution, Medimpex Jamaica Ltd. looks forward to once more forging a stronger relationship with the Health Authority of Jamaica, as we all seek to play our part in the fight against COVID-19.
